Digital Technology:

Digital x-rays:

In most cases a clinical exam alone is not sufficient to completely diagnose all potential concerns with your mouth. In fact, the majority of problems with your teeth and jawbones are not visible to the naked eye. That is why x-rays play a key role in giving us a better more accurate look at what’s really going on inside your mouth and below your teeth and gums. With the aid of x-rays, Dr. Mazhari can not only check of cavities, but also check for any bone loss, infections, cysts or even tumors. At Clear Dental, we know radiation can be a concern for our patients. That’s why we are a complete digital office using digital x-rays that have up to 90% less radiation than conventional film. Images are more accurate and detailed than film and are recorded instantly which means less waiting time for our patients.

SoproLife intra-oral camera:

In addition to digital x-rays, our office uses the latest technology in high definition intra-oral cameras. Using florescence to detect conditions such as cavities, cracks or failing restorations, the SoproLife camera aids Dr. Mazhari in early diagnosis. Our patients are able to see magnified images of what she sees, opening the door for patients to better understand their oral conditions and make more informed decisions about their treatment.

Metal free fillings and restorations:

Our focus at Clear Dental is promoting good oral health. All of our restorative dental treatments aim to restore your smile to healthy form and function but we also understand the way your smile will look when we’re finished is just as important! You can be confident you’ll always see results that improve your oral health and also enhance your appearance. That’s why at Clear Dental we only use metal free fillings and restorations, such as crowns, bridges and even metal free partial dentures!

Tooth colored fillings:

Tooth-colored, or composite, fillings have a similar appearance to natural dental enamel. We can closely match the color of fillings to the natural shade of your teeth and make them virtually unnoticeable. And because they are bonded to your teeth, we can place them conservatively and preserve more of the healthy parts of your teeth.  Composite material is not only used for filling cavities. We can use composites to cosmetically alter the size and shape of a tooth if necessary.

Metal free crowns/bridges:

Dental crowns are lab made restorations that fully cover your tooth and help provide strength to teeth that may have been weakened by large fillings, cracks or fractures, or root canals.  Bridges are multiple crowns fused together to replace missing teeth.

Recent advancements in dental materials allow us to provide our patients with the most esthetic restorations and still have the strength and longevity needed to withstand even the strongest chewing. These restorations are made of porcelain, ceramic or zirconia, not metal! No more worries about the dark metal line showing along the gum line of crowns or bridges.

Flexible, metal free partial dentures:

Partial dentures are a removable appliance used to replace multiple missing teeth. Flexible partial dentures are a great alternative to the heavy, unsightly metal partials of the past. These partials are lighter and more comfortable than metal partials. With no visible metal hooks or bars, our partials blend naturally with your existing teeth, and still restore your chewing function.

Periodontal Treatment

Periodontal disease is a chronic infection that can damage your gums and the bones that support your teeth. It most often develops as a result of improper oral hygiene and putting off regular dental exams and cleanings. It starts when plaque builds up between your teeth and beneath the gums. Without treatment, pockets open up, separating the teeth and gums, allowing for the bacteria to grow deeper into your gums and bone. Your teeth may eventually loosen, and without treatment, they may be lost. The first signs of gum disease are usually inflamed, bleeding and puffy gums. If periodontal disease is allowed to progress, you’ll begin to notice other symptoms, including chronic bad breath, an elongated appearance to your teeth as your gums begin to recede, tooth mobility, pus from the gums and even tooth pain.

Periodontal therapy is the removal of plaque and tartar build-up beneath the gum line, along with bacteria and other debris. It is also necessary to smooth out the rough surfaces of your roots so that bacteria don’t have a place to cling. This type of cleaning is sometimes referred to as a “deep cleaning.” We may also place an antibiotic in the pockets to destroy any remaining bacteria.

Invisalign

When your teeth are straight, it is easier to keep them clean. Being able to brush and floss your teeth properly means fewer cavities and healthier gums. Fewer cavities and healthier gums mean you can keep your teeth for longer, hopefully for life.  Malpositioned teeth can also cause unwanted wear and cracks in your teeth, as well as paint in the jaw muscles and joints. When your teeth are in the proper position and bite, they will stay healthier longer too!

Invisalign is a series of clear trays that are custom made for you. Each tray gradually moves your teeth until they are straight and healthy.  Each tray is worn for 1-2 weeks, at a recommended 22 hours per day. The length of treatment varies from person to person. Typically, cases are between nine months and a year.

Veneers

Veneers are thin layers of porcelain that overlay the outside of your tooth. A small amount of enamel is removed from the front facing surface of your tooth and impressions taken. A lab will then make thin veneers that are cemented onto your teeth. Porcelain veneers are popular because they can correct a wide variety of dental flaws that detract from your appearance. Veneers can:

  • Repair worn, broken, or chipped teeth
  • Conceal stained teeth that are resistant to whitening
  • Alter the shape of your teeth
  • Close uneven gaps and spaces between teeth
  • Correct the appearance of misaligned teeth
